Alltrac 4WD specialises in the service and repair of your 4WD vehicle. We have an extensive workshop for the servicing, repair and outfitting of your 4WD and commercial vehicles. We always have maintained the reputation of being honest, down-to-earth 4WD mechanics involved at the forefront of technology.
Do you look forward to sitting on the side of the track with no shade repairing or attempting to repair your 4WD – you wouldn’t! There are a few items that we come across time and time again, that no matter how well we check over, we are unable to find without dismantling some components.
Depending on the make and model, these can be starter motors, rear axle bearing, shock absorbers and batteries, to name a few. So before your next big trip, have a chat with us about the potential problems we have identified for your particular vehicle.
We can also help you with spare parts you may likely require. Because we have been doing this for a long time now, we have developed various procedures and improvements to ensure the best for your 4WD.
If you require a car while your vehicle is being serviced, we have a loan car available at a nominal cost for you. Demand is sometimes high for the loan car, so don’t forget to book well ahead.
1) Before we start working on your vehicle, we road test it to:
2) We then proceed with the job, and if any other problems or changes to the job become apparent, we contact you
3) When the job is finished, the technician working on your vehicle carries out a final check of all the work he has performed and performs a road test before finalising the job
4) Then, the vehicle is given to another technician who double-checks all the work performed and has a final road test done before handing over and signing it off as completed
It sounds like a lot of time, doesn’t it? It is! But we don’t charge you more because we believe that a vehicle job that comes back for rework will cost us more. Also, it could potentially turn you into a dissatisfied customer.
We can service your vehicle as per the manufacturer’s coupon to ensure compliance with your new vehicle warranty provisions. Unlike most new vehicle dealerships, we can also check, service and repair the non-original items on your vehicles, such as winches, dual battery systems, fuel tanks, spare wheel carriers and more.
Alltrac 4WD supplies a range of services, and we want you to be 100% satisfied. The parts and lubricants we use must do the job and be free of defects. They should have the high level of quality and durability that you expect.
If the vehicle is used for private recreational purpose and within 12-month or 20,000kms, and the service or repair does not perform the way it should, we will, at our discretion, refund your money or repair the job. This 12-month or 20,000kms period applies to parts and labour, provided that, both the parts and labour were supplied by Alltrac 4WD.
In addition, Alltrac 4WD will warrant the quality of labour to repair or service your vehicle for the life of the vehicle, provided that, you remain its owner.
In case you supplied the parts, we can only warrant the quality of our labour and repairs. In this instance, if a part fails, you would have to resort to your part supplier for satisfaction.
We are only able to accumulate reliable data regarding the long-term durability and suitability of parts and repairs on standard unmodified motor vehicles. Therefore, we are unable to warrant any failures that are a result of non-standard modifications to your vehicle performed by us or anybody else.
However, we will do our best to ensure that you get the best advice and remedies available. Obviously, this warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental or malicious damage or lack of maintenance.
When a product that has been fully designed, engineered, tested and proven to be of suitable quality by ourselves or a supplier is not available, we may, at our discretion manufacture, fabricate or modify something to achieve the result and performance that you seek.
In this instance, unless you are prepared to pay for these enormous design costs, neither you nor we can say how long the job is going to last. For these jobs, we are only able to warrant our workmanship quality, not the quality of the design.
If you are away from home, Alltrac 4WD may authorise another repairer to rectify any problems at our discretion. No repairs are to be undertaken without our prior consent. Any parts replaced must be returned to us. The repairer may require you to pay for the repairs at the time; we will refund you at a later date. Any payment is subject to our final inspection of the vehicle and faulty parts.
Where warranty is doubtful or requires approval/inspection by the manufacturer, we may supply replacement goods to you, for which you must pay. When and if the claim is approved, we will then credit or refund the cost to you minus any additional charges such as freight cost that may apply.
We are often asked, “Do you give discounts to 4WD club members and seniors”. Our reply is “no”, we don’t overcharge some clients so that we can discount others. We reward all loyal clients through our VIP Reward Scheme.
How it Works
For every dollar you spend on servicing and repairs at Alltrac 4WD, we give you one Reward Point. These points accumulate on your VIP Card (don’t have one? inform us during your next service). Points last for two years, and you must not lose your card. It applies to all clients who pay for their work at the time of completion by cash or credit card.

This winter, we were on a 10-week stint over in WA. That included a few weeks on the Canning. Early on, we had battery troubles (wouldn’t hold a charge), had to keep the motor running to charge up the Engels. Thought that we’ll have to cancel and get back to civilisation. Did the usual things checking, cleaning terminals and more. Then dialled Pete’s “remote diagnostic service” at Alltrac 4WD via the sat phone – he really doesn’t mind his customers calling if they’re in trouble.
He guided us through several tests with the meter, conclusion “a bad earth” he said. Well, I had already checked all that didn’t I? Nope, as it turned out. Apart from having that “how dumb can you be” feeling, we got a real buzz when that battery started chugging along again. That’s just another one of the advantages of regularly dealing with Young and the team.
